Tori

Despite waking up early and sneaking into the bathroom to throw up, Tori felt surprisingly good as they rode to the beach in William’s truck. The sun was shining, and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky as they drove along the highway with the windows all wound down, a cool breeze filling the car. She’d been pleasantly surprised when, after showering and getting ready, she’d found William had already made their picnic lunch and packed everything they’d need for a day at the beach into his truck. Soon, they neared the beach, and William pulled into the parking lot.

“The picnic should be okay in the cooler until we’re hungry,” he said, getting out of the truck and heading around to the trunk to get the things they would need now.

“Okay, we can leave it here, then. I’d prefer not to get sand all over my lunch,” she said with a chuckle as she got out of the truck, too, and helped him.

They carried their towels, sunscreen, beach ball, and wind guard across the grass picnic area and down to the beach, pleasantly surprised to see that though there were a few people there, it wasn’t overcrowded. They’d have plenty of space to themselves.

Tori had put her bikini on under her sundress and packed some spare underwear for later in case she decided to go into the ocean. Glad she wasn’t showing any signs of pregnancy yet, she stripped down and started lathering herself in sunscreen. As she made sure all her skin was covered, she caught William watching her out of the corner of his eye. She turned, and he was looking at her, wide-eyed. Realizing he was caught in the act, he blushed, and Tori smirked.

If nothing else, at least he thinks I’m attractive, she thought.

A moment later, the tables were turned as William pulled off his shirt, revealing his muscular body and toned abs. On the night they’d slept together, it had been too dark in the living room for Tori to get a good look at William’s body, so she was seeing it for the first time as the sun shone down on his tanned skin. Her breath caught in her throat as she stared at him.

Gods, he’s gorgeous, she thought, wanting to reach out and stroke his abs.

William caught her looking at him, and now it was his turn to smirk. Tori blushed and looked away.

For a while, they simply lay on the beach towels, enjoying the warmth tempered by an ocean breeze, but eventually, Tori grew restless.

“Want to do something?” she asked, sitting up.

William sat up, too, and faced her. “Like what?”

“We could play ball in the ocean?” she suggested, and William grinned in response.

He got the beach ball out of their bag and inflated it, then stood.

“Race you,” he said, taking off towards the shoreline.

Tori laughed then tore after him. Chasing William down to the water reminded her of their time in the forest and how happy she’d felt then. She always felt happy when they spent time together.
